Bradford District Credit Union is partnering with local community organisations, Bradford District Anti-Poverty Co-ordination Group, Wellsprings Together Bradford and Royds Community Association to host “Manage Your Money’ Workshop 2017” on Monday 30 October at Bradford City Hall.

The aim of the workshop is to explore ways to encourage and empower the people of Bradford to manage their money better, consider the barriers that face them and to better support frontline staff in the voluntary and public sectors.

The event takes place during Financial Inclusion Week 2017 which runs 30 October to 3 November and is an international week designed to raise awareness of and support initiatives to address financial exclusion, debt and related issues.

Cllr Cath Bacon, from Anti-Poverty Champion for Bradford, said:  “We want to highlight the support services available and share best practice through a number of facilitated workshops.

“There will also be information about the forthcoming roll out of Universal Credit, due to be implemented in the Bradford District during March 2018.”

Limited places available so please book as soon as possible through the Eventbrite link below, or email alice.bentley@bradford.gov.uk
